Job in Amsterdam. Would you like to support an international company shaping today’s healthcare landscape? We are looking for an experienced GL Accountant to join our client’s Finance & Accounting team!

Your role as a GL Accountant will include: 

Support in all Finance and Accounting Activities
Coordination of the monthly accrual process (invoice, travel accruals, other accruals as needed)
Ensuring of the corporate-wide accruals, calculations, provision calculation in line with US GAAP, inventory reconciliation
Ensuring that the Company meets the corporate deadlines for monthly reporting
Ensure compliance by US GAAP, corporate regulations, statutory requirements
Account reconciliations in conjunction with the Finance & Accounting Analyst (with appropriate segregation of duties within the Finance & Accounting function)
Handling of all monthly and quarterly VAT declarations corporate and other business and local taxes
Coordinating Corporate and other Tax returns, fulfilling statutory requirements
Responsible for the accrual process each month (this includes bonus accruals, invoice accruals and any other accruals as required) for looked after entity/entities, provides backup for the other countries
Coordinating all activities related to Fixed Assets
Responsible for supporting accurate, timely and compliant periodic closings, under the supervision of the Manager
Assisting during internal and external audits (both finance & accounting specifically related audits or non-finance & accounting related audits)

Your profile as the ideal GL Accountant:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting
5+ years of directly related accounting/finance experience in a similar role in a multi-national, preferably in an FMCG
Knowledge and understanding of financial key figures and the correlation with management control 
Dutch Statutory and VAT, US GAAP experience is a must
Ability to produce summary, management-level reports and detailed reports
Strong analytical skills. Good at identifying and understanding the interrelations in accounting.
